Student Life

Student Community

At Savannah Christian, we believe that every student thrives when they feel seen, valued, and connected.

A Culture of Belonging

Creating a culture of belonging is at the heart of our community—it shapes how students learn, grow, and interact with one another. By fostering meaningful relationships, celebrating accomplishments, and encouraging each student’s unique gifts, we cultivate an environment where everyone feels included, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Students at SCPS are known by name and valued by the faculty and staff.

  • Small Groups

Small Groups provide students in grades 2–12 with a meaningful space to grow in faith and character within their school division. Led by caring faculty and staff, these age-appropriate groups explore the Bible, discuss life lessons, and focus on building strong moral character. Small Groups encourage students to ask questions, reflect on their values, and support one another in a safe, welcoming environment, helping each child develop both spiritually and personally.
  • Junior/Senior Retreat

The Junior/Senior Retreat is a meaningful experience designed to strengthen faith, build relationships, and foster personal growth among our upperclassmen. Over the course of the retreat, students engage in worship, Bible study, team-building activities, and reflective discussions, all in a supportive and Christ-centered environment. This retreat provides an opportunity for juniors and seniors to connect more deeply with God, form lasting friendships, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives with a strong sense of purpose and community.
  • Upper School Family System

Our Family System is designed to foster connection, mentorship, and a sense of belonging across all grade levels. Students are grouped into small, multi-grade “families” that meet regularly to build relationships, support one another, and engage in shared activities that reinforce our Christ-centered values. This system encourages leadership, community service, and meaningful interactions between older and younger students, creating a strong, nurturing network that strengthens the entire SCPS upper school community.
