Logan was a 4-year member of the Georgia Southern volleyball team. Recently, Sports Director Ken Griner had a chance to speak with Logan about coming back to SCPS.

KG: What was it about the job that appealed to you?

LJG: Savannah Christian has always been home to me. I grew up here, and this school helped shape me into the person I am today. The chance to come back and invest in the same community that poured into me is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up! It truly feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m excited to give back to a place that has meant so much to me and my family.

KG: What does your role as an Advancement Associate entail?

LJG: As an Advancement Associate, I get to share the heart of Savannah Christian with current and prospective families. Whether it’s giving campus tours, helping with events, or building relationships, I have the opportunity to show what makes this community so unique and why it’s such a special place to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

KG: When giving tours, what is it about Savannah Christian that you really highlight?

LJG: When giving tours, I will mainly focus on the community surrounding the school. The teachers, coaches, and staff genuinely care about each student and invest in them both inside and outside the classroom. I experienced that firsthand, and it’s what makes Savannah Christian feel like so much more than a school—it’s a family that encourages students to grow in their faith, confidence, and God-given gifts.

KG: You’ll be coaching middle school basketball and 7th-grade volleyball, along with helping with varsity volleyball. What is it that you learned in your career that you want to pass along, and are you ready to coach with mom?

LJG: I want every athlete I coach to know that their confidence comes from who God created them to be, not just their performance on the court. My goal is to help young girls grow as athletes while also building character, resilience, and faith. Getting to do that alongside my mom at the school where I grew up makes it even more meaningful. It’s a true full-circle moment, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to coach together and pour into the next generation.
