  • Why should the Nominee be considered for induction into The Raider Athletic Hall of Fame?
    • Tommy was the first SCP student athlete to complete the "cycle" in football, meaning being on the SCP football teams from 6th grade through 12th grade, and therefore received the "Original Raider Award" from his Raider football coaches after his 12th grade football season.
    • 4 year high school letterman in football
    • 3 year high school letterman in track and field
    • 3 year starter on the Raider football offensive line, winning 3 State Football Championships during his 4 years of high school, while accumulating an SCP all-time best cumulative 4 year winning percentage with 44 wins and only 4 losses.
    • 1982 Raider team captain in football
    • 1982 Raider football Offensive Lineman of the Year Award
    • 1982 Raider football Leadership Award
    • 2x All Region honors in football
    • All State honors in football and track in 12th grade

  • What is the Nominee doing today? 
    • Tommy is now retired and living in Acworth, Ga (a suburb of Atlanta), where he and his wife, Jennifer, of 36 years have three children, Josh, Laura & Ben. 
    • Tommy also has three grandchildren, Aila, Barrett & Palmer, which all reside in the Atlanta area. 
    • Tommy worked for BlueLinx Holdings, a National Building Materials distributor, for 36 years in various leadership roles culminating in an Executive role he held for the last 16 years of his career. 
    • Tommy enjoys spending time with his family, involvement within his church, and various philanthropic interest within the Atlanta area. Tommy still gets together with several high school and college teammates each year to enjoy the lifelong friendships that were made during his developmental years at Savannah Christian and Georgia Southern.
