Athletic Involvement at SCPS:

Joined SCPS in 1972 to begin the football program at Savannah Christian
86-21 record with 5 state titles during a 10-year tenure
Inducted into the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame (2005)
Developed his strategies in the same area (known as the “cradle of coaching”) as coaching greats Paul “Bear Bryant,” Larry Lacewell, “Red” Parker, Convoy Leslie, and many others, all of whom were inducted into the Dallas County Arkansas Hall of Fame for coaching
