Mrs. Cheri Acree

Cheri Acree currently teaches sixth grade mathematics, seventh grade mathematics, seventh grade science and seventh grade music appreciation. This is her 13th year at SCPS. Licensed by the State of Georgia, she holds a B.S. degree in middle grades education from AASU.
Mrs. Acree also studied music while attending Valdosta State College and Georgia Southern College. She is a former organ/pianist/ private music teacher. The formal study of music totals 14 years. One of the highlights of her musical career was to accompany a baritone from the Metropolitan Opera. Mrs. Acree is a member of the National Council of Teacher of Mathematics, the Georgia Council of Teacher of Mathematics, and has served as a presider at the Rock Eagle Math Conference. She is also a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, the National Music Educators, and The Recording Arts Academy and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Mrs. Acree is from Vienna, Georgia, and has lived in Savannah for 21 years with her husband, Marshall. She has two grown children and two granddaughters.
