Birthday Book Club:
Students are encouraged to participate in the Birthday Book Club by
donating the money to pay for a book for the media center in honor of their
birthday. Students should bring in notes from home indicating how much
their parents want to spend on the book and the Staff will help the
student choose a book in that price range. This is a wonderful way to
honor a child as well as help the Media Center purchase new books.
Book Fair:
The Media Center sponsors two book fairs each year. The
2008 Spring Book Fair will be an Usborne Take-Home Book Fair. Information
will go home on Friday, April 18 and the last day to order books will be Monday,
April 28.
Reading Counts Spend
the Night Party:
Students who earn 250 or more Reading Counts points by the end of April
are invited to spend the night in the library on a scheduled Friday night in
May. Students enjoy pizza, snacks, games, and special projects for their reading
efforts. It's always lots of fun! The next Spend the Night is
scheduled for May 2, 2008.
