Three Savannah Christian Preparatory School standout student athletes signed Letters of Intent to play soccer for
South Georgia College on Friday, April 4, 2008.
Andrew Tyler Albritton sweeps girls off their feet as the 2008 Prom King and
on the field as senior Sweeper for the Raider Varsity Soccer team. He has
been named Most Valuable Player of the Year in 2007 and has lettered in
soccer all four years in high school. Tyler is receiving a partial
scholarship to play soccer for Head Coach Al Horner and the Tiger soccer
team. While mastering soccer at the collegiate level, Tyler will focus his
studies on Economics to later on pursue a degree at the university level Tyler is the son of David and Mary Albritton.
Jake Carter is Savannah Christian's Best All-Around player for the 2007
Soccer Season. He has been playing soccer in Savannah since the age of
twelve with the Coastal Georgia Soccer Association. The CGSA Rovers taught
him the fundamentals of the game and gave him a chance to develop his
competitive spirit early on. During his high school career, Jake has
lettered three years as a Varsity player. South Georgia College has
extended Jake a partial scholarship where he will focus on taking core
classes and excelling academically. As a native of Savannah, Jack looks to
pursue a degree in history. Jake is the son of Don and Tara Carter.
Tyler Hooks is a senior forward for the SCPS Varsity Soccer team. As a star
player on the team, Tyler was chosen as the Savannah Morning News' Player of
the Year in 2007 and selected to play on the 2007 All-Area Team by the
Savannah coaches. In the 2007 soccer season Tyler also earned the Most
Valuable Attacking Player for the Savannah Christian Preparatory School
team. The son of Lance and Tonya Hooks of Savannah, Tyler will join fellow
Raider teammates, Jack Carter and Tyler Albritton.
