Once again a Savannah Christian Preparatory School Senior will have the opportunity to play on the collegiate level. Carrie George recently signed a letter of intent to play golf for Armstrong Atlantic State University.

Carrie and the Savannah Christian Lady Raider Golf team were honored as the Savannah Morning News 1st team and All Area in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Under the direction of long-time Golf coach Doyle Kelley, this dynamic team also earned the title of region champs in 2004, 2005, and 2006. They also went on to a stellar state record placing 2nd in 2004, 3rd in 2005 and in 2006 captured the first place finish during Carrie’s junior year in which she shot an 80 placing her 3rd overall as an individual.

Involved in many different clubs and sports, Carrie excels both in the Lady Raider volleyball team and the Lady Raider basketball team who had an amazing playoff post-season this past winter. She also actively participates in the Key Club, French Club, Pep Club, Fine Arts Club and the FCA- Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Expanding her golf play outside of the school’s team, Carrie enjoys volunteering extensively with The First Tee of Savannah and with Bacon Parks’ Junior Golf Program.

Carrie is the eighteen-year-old daughter of Clark and Tina George of Savannah.
