Hundreds of Savannah Christian Lower School students celebrated Georgia Day today, along with thousands of other students
across the state.
The morning began with an exciting parade organized by grades and led by an upper school drum core. Scores of parents,
grandparents and other family members and friends gathered with Daycare and Upper School students to watch as waves
of indians, pilgrims, soldiers and more marched across campus.
The entire crowd then gathered around the flag pole to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, Pledge to the Christian Flag,
and Pledge to the Bible.
Other festivities included a special meal of traditional succotash, beef jerky, and peach crisp; special readings;
and special activities led by faculty and parent volunteers throughout the day.
