Happy Birthday Savannah Christian

Line

Happy Birthday Sunday, September 17th marked the beginning of the 55th school year for Savannah Christian Preparatory School. To celebrate this exciting landmark Sandy and the lunchroom ladies made delicious birthday cake for everyone to enjoy!

Savannah Christian has seen many changes throughout the years, but the overall mission of the school has remained the same! Fifth grade students at DeRenne got to learn more about the history of the school and the legacy left by Rev. and Mrs. Akins. They read the book “Miracles in my Life” by Bob and Georgia Hill and created a timeline of personal history. Reading the book aloud allowed them to study how God had used Rev. and Mrs. Akins' life experiences to develop faith in God and actively lead others to Christ. The students worked to create this timeline of the Akins' life which reveals our school's humble beginnings, the Akins' desire to step out on faith and the fruits of their labors!
