For the past seven years, our six senior girl's soccer players have played together on Savannah Christian teams.
With their loving and supportive parents, they have traveled many miles, sweated out countless practices,
helped each other on and off the field, shopped together, dined together, cried a little and laughed a lot.
Our six seniors are all team leaders and have continued the standard of excellence that has been a hallmark
of the Savannah Christian soccer program since its inception in 1996. Seniors shown in the photo along with their
parents include:
- Jaymee Franklin
Jaymee is a triple threat athlete, lettering in softball and basketball in addition to soccer. She was named to last year's All-City First Team. Jaymee is currently evaluating several opportunities to play college soccer and plans to study physical therapy and sports management. Jaymee is the daughter of Jimmy and Delane Franklin and granddaughter of Sherry Reese, one of her biggest fans.
- Alison Gay
Alison is another multisport athlete, excelling in cross country and basketball, serving as captain this year. She was named to last year's All-City Second Team in soccer and was honored as a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee. Alison has decided to study exercise physiology and nutrition in college, possibly at Georgia Southern. She is the daughter of Mike and Ellen Gay.
- Ashlee Kraft
Ashlee is a three-year soccer letterman, earning honorable mention on last year's All-City Team. She was named Rookie of the Year as a freshman and captured the Coach's Award the following two years. She played volleyball as a freshman and continued on as manager for three years after being sidelined by injuries. Ashlee is considering an offer to play college soccer at Young Harris College, and wants to study psychology and Christian counseling. Ashlee is the daughter of Hal and Kim Kraft.
- Jane McNeal
An accomplished artist, Jane captured first place in this year’s Reflections art competition. She is a three-year soccer letterman, received honorable mention on last year's All-City Team and was voted “Best Looking” by her classmates. Jane is currently trying to decide among three colleges. She is the daughter of Frank and Melly McNeal.
- Casey Rhodes
In addition to soccer, Casey lettered in cheerleading and volleyball throughout middle and high schools, serving as a captain on all three teams. She was proud to play for the state championship in volleyball this year. Not surprisingly, she was voted “Most Outspoken” by her classmates. She will be attending Georgia Southern to study Fashion Merchandising. Casey is the daughter of Cash and Amy Rhodes.
- Alex Simmons
In addition to soccer, Alex has also lettered in volleyball throughout her middle and high school careers, serving as a captain on this year’s state-runner up team. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Beta, and is excited to attend the University of Georgia this fall to major in Journalism. Alex is the daughter of Bill and Jeannie Simmons.
