Capping an exciting week of homecoming activities, and in the middle of a smashing 45-0 victory over Claxton
and a Class of 1980 twenty-fifth high school reunion,
the Raiders crowned Senior Jessica Sherrod as the 2005 Homecoming Queen.
The daughter of Don and Barbara Sherrod, Jessica was sponsored by Red Raider #52, Barry Moore. She is
captain of the softball team, runs track, is an active member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society, and plans
to attend the Medical College of Georgia.
Fellow senior Brook Blocker was selected First Runner-up. Brook, daughter of Tony and Vickie Blocker,
is involved in Key Club, Environmental Club, French Club and a member of the National French Society.
She has cheered for nine years and is captain of the Basketball Cheerleading squad, a member of the competitive
cheerleading squad, and runs track.
Fran Warnell was selected Second Runner-up. Fran, daughter of Hebert and Karen Warnell,
is a member of the Key Club, National Honor Society, Beta Club, Math Team, French Club and serves as secretary
of the Senior Class.
