2005 Graduation

Savannah Christian Preparatory School held its 53rd Commencement on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the Johnny Mercer Theater
in downtown Savannah. In addition to the presentation of diplomas to ninety-nine graduates, the program included an opening prayer by
Grant Roskowiak, Class Chaplain; a welcome from Ed Udvadia, Class President;
presentation of a class gift of $2,500 to the school by Class Treasurer Brianna Russell
and speeches by Valedictorian Drew Lupton
and Salutatorian Joseph Drwiega.
Principal Doyle Kelley presented the John F. McGinty Service Award to Jared Lott,
and the George M. Charles Leadership Award to Grant Roszkowiak.
Board of Trustees member Danny Falligant awarded the Henderson-Falligant Scholarship
for scholarship and community service to Tiwi Marira.
In his remarks to the graduates and the audience, SCPS Board of Trustees Chairman Bill Daniel recognized the
members of “The Greatest Generation,” who helped to liberate Europe just 60 years ago this month. He urged the
graduates to use wisdom and integrity and to make good choices in the years ahead.
