Knorr Signs With North Greenville College

Patrick Knorr SCPS Senior Patrick Knorr has signed a grant-in-aid football scholarship with North Greenville College, a private four-year Christian liberal arts college in Tigerville, S.C. at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Because of his outstanding academic record, Patrick was also awarded a Trustee Scholarship from the school. The combination of the scholarships will cover most of Patrick’s tuition.

A three-year football letterman, the 6’4” 235-lb. defensive end played an integral part in Savannah Christian’s best season in recent history, making 61 tackles, 37 first hits, 24 assists, 3 sacks, 1 deflected pass and 4 fumble recoveries. In his senior season, Patrick received Honorable Mention, Defensive End for Region 3-AA and the Georgia High School Football Magazine All-State Academic Team. In his junior year, he was voted Region 3-AAA Honorable Mention, Defensive Line and voted Lineman of the Week by the Savannah Quarterback Club. Patrick received the SCPS Coaches’ Award in both his junior and senior years.

Patrick also played baseball at SCPS, winning the Matthew D. Bragg Baseball Award in his sophomore year.

Academically, Patrick excels at SCPS as a member of the 2003 Math Team and a selected participant in the 2003-04 Savannah Science Seminar. He is a member of the Key Club and the Environmental Club, and is a two-time National Young Leadership Selectee. He attends Savannah Christian Church, where he is active in youth programs and dramas.

The North Greenville College Crusaders compete in Division II of the National Christian College Athletic Association. (NCCAA).

Patrick is the son of Ken and Nancy Knorr of Savannah.
