SCPS Golfer Signs Letter of Intent

Savannah, GA --- Savannah Christian Preparatory School Senior Brian Harman signed a national letter of intent to play golf for the University of Georgia on Friday, November 12th, 2004 on the campus of Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
Brian is currently the #1 ranked junior golfer in the nation, and in 2003 was the second-youngest golfer (after Tiger Woods) ever to win the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship. He was also only the third left-handed champion in the 108-year history of the USGA.
A four-year letterman and three-year MVP for the Raiders, Brian has been a key part of Savannah Christian’s perennial powerhouse golf team that has won the state championship two of the last three years.
In the classroom, Brian is an Honor Roll student in the top 20% of his class and a member of the Beta Club.
Brian is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Eric Harman of Savannah and has a younger brother, Scott, in the ninth grade at SCPS. Dr. Harman is a 1977 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
