Awesome Summer Readers Win Awards

| On Friday, August 20, 2004, the Lower School at Chatham Parkway awarded prizes to
students who read books during the summer. Using the Media Center theme of “Discover New Frontiers, Read!”
students helped celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Lewis and Clark Expedition with prizes of bookmarks,
pencils, magnifying glasses, journals, binoculars, and even Trail Mix.
The top reader for all of Lower School was Jeffrey Schad who read 353 books!
The following students read more than 200 books during the summer:
- Pre-K - Jessica Ryan, Jacob Wigand
- Kindergarten - Sydney DeRoai, Shelby Hancock, Jacob Maupin, Harrison Slaughter
- First Grade - Devon Gibson
- Third Grade - Corinne Willis
- Fifth Grade - Josh Garland
The following students read more than 100 books over the summer:
