Master Plan
The above represents our tentative Master Plan. Phases One and Two include completion of the Perimeter Road, the Athletic/Fine Arts Complex (the large building over the "A"), relocation of the Maintenance Building and Upper School athletic fields
The Board of Trustees at Savannah Christian Preparatory School recently voted to begin implementing the school's master One Campus plan. This action formally initiates the process of redeveloping the school's 220-acre Chatham Parkway campus and eventually closing the 14-acre DeRenne Avenue campus.

The estimated cost of completing the Master Plan exceeds $24,000,000. The projects are tentatively divided into seven phases. The Board voted to initiate Phases One and Two immediately. Projects in these phases include completion of the campus perimeter road, relocation of the maintenance shed, replacements and additions to Upper School athletic fields and construction of an Athletic/Fine Arts complex that will include practice, performance and game venues for the school's arts, athletic and music programs.

Cost estimates for completing Phases One and Two total approximately $7,000,000. Time estimates depend on funding. "We hope to begin clearing for the road this summer," says Capital Campaign Director Lynn Lewis. "With a successful fundraising campaign over the next ten months, we could easily break ground on the Athletic and Fine Arts complex by next year."

The Board also voted to retain the consulting services of the J. F. Smith Group, who performed the SCPS feasibility study in the fall of 2001. The Smith Group will work with SCPS leaders and volunteers on the three-year capital campaign slated to help fund Phases One and Two.

Dr. Lewis is currently seeking to assemble about 300 dream team leaders to help implement the capital campaign and spend time face-to-face with as many of our 5,000 constituent families and friends over the next year as possible. "We want to share our hopes and dreams, listen to each other and invite everyone who believes in SCPS to participate in this exciting adventure!"
