| How Did You Spend Your Summer? |

Wow, school is back in session already – can you believe it?!? This summer went fast but Pack 11 has plenty of stories to tell about how we spent our break. In addition to the Tidelands District Twilight Camp and a baseball camp out with the Sand Gnats, we had six Pack outings! Our Cubs started with a fishing trip at Tom Triplett Park to kick off the summer season by earning their fishing beltloop (A big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Roberts for helping the boys). Following that we went camping at Stone Mountain and spent two nights watching the laser show and a full day hiking the mountain, working the ropes course, and other cool things (Kudos to Mr. Fellows for setting up a great trip). Next the boys took to the lanes to work on their bowling beltloop. Lots of spares and strikes that day – only the adults threw gutter balls (Hats off to Mrs. Hancock for an awesome Sunday afternoon). A short time later, the boys were hard at work again earning their swimming beltloops and enjoying a cookout on the Southside (Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Domanski for hosting a wonderful outing). Finally, the boys ended the summer break by racing into the school year at Ogelthorpe Speedway Park. If you have never been, grab some ear plugs and head on down – there were lots of excited boys (young and old). |
