Savannah Christian’s Pack 11 Cub Scouts learned about fire safety and how fire fighters do their jobs. The Cubs went through home safety and evacuation training in the Savannah Fire Department’s Safe House. During this training the fireman fill the house with (theatrical) smoke and had the boys crawl out to safety. In addition, the Scouts toured a fire engine and learned about the gear that a firefighter wears when entering a burning building. Thanks to Trisha Cook, Bear Den Leader for setting up the event and a huge Cub Scout "Thank You!" to the folks from the Savannah Fire Department and all that they do.
