The 25th Reunion Weekend of the Class of 1980 has come and gone! We missed all of you that could not attend, but hope to see you at the 30th!

On Friday, September 30, 2005—We all met at 6:30 p.m. at Westside Stadium in Garden City with class members, families, and guests to watch the Savannah Christian Homecoming Football Game against the Claxton Tigers. The tailgating started at 6:30 p.m. with a BBQ dinner served by the SCPS Alumni Association. They did a fabulous job with the food. We would like to thank them personally for all their hard work and efforts in making this a great evening for us. Then the game started at 7:30 p.m. and some actually watched SCPS romp the Tigers, while most of us talked and walked around to visit with classmates and many other familiar faces in the crowd. Afterwards, many of us decided we could not go home, so we went to Tubbies to hang out. Many continued to visit well into the early hours of Saturday morning.

Saturday, October 1, 2005—We met at Delegal Marina at the Landings at Skidaway Island.  The setting was beautiful on the waterfront. Class members and their guests enjoyed a Low Country Boil dinner, music, and dancing until we shut the place down about 1:00 a.m. Although it seemed like a small group we enjoyed reminiscing about old times, going through annuals, and just catching up. It was a wonderful evening had by all.

In lieu of an Alumni gift to the school this year, the Class decided to collect funds to support one of its own: Julie Hieter. Julie and her two daughters were directly affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. To read Julie's thank you note, click here.
