Savannah Christian Preparatory School annually produces classic Broadway musical productions
with cast members comprised of 3rd through 12th grade students.
One of our primary goals is to provide students with opportunities to:
- Develop and showcase their talent(s)
- Experience the full range of a professional quality theater production,
including auditions, casting, staging, props and costuming; acting, singing and dancing; lighting and sound;
live audience presentation; and promotion and celebration.
- Share an unforgettable experience with their peers and leaders.
We also aim to provide: families of cast members with opportunities to enjoy a professional quality
public forum for their student's talents; our
Council for Arts and Academics with funding for various council programs and initiatives;
and various audiences with quality, family-friendly entertainment.
Productions are held annually each March at Trustees Theater
or Lucas Theatre
in downtown Savannah. Auditions are held in November, casting in December and practices are held on the SCPS campus

* Note: Student particpants in school extra-curricular activities must meet
SCPS academic and behavioral standards in order to be selected. Also, failure to maintain these standards
as outlined in the SCPS Student Handbook will result in dismissal or probation from extra-curricular participation.
