50 SCPS Middle School Students + S.A.T. = Duke T.I.P. Program
Fifty (50) seventh-grade students registered for the
Duke University Talent Identification Program. These students will take the
S.A.T. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Day School. This is
a wonderful opportunity for 7th-graders to become exposed to above-level
testing, to be identified as gifted and talented students, and to become
available for a variety of educational programs offered by Duke University.
If your child has registered to participate in this program, you should have
received an informational packet by now. If you have not, please contact
Duke immediately at (919) 668-9100.
When you have your packet, please discard the A.C.T. materials and begin the
S.A.T. review with your child. The grey folder is your Directions Guide to
the enclosed materials and to the test itself. Please read it carefully
with your son or daughter.
The pink ticket is the identification form. Please fill it out and put it
in a safe place until the day of the test. Your student will need this to
be admitted to the testing site.
We believe that the more students know about the S.A.T. in advance, the
better they will do on the test. If you have questions, please contact
Sherri Goodman or Irene Lester (counselors) at the middle school,355-2693,
extension 105 or sgoodman@savcps.com
or ilester@savcps.comM.
