The plan phases are ordered relative to priority and necessity, since some phases must be completed
before we can begin others. Our current campaign focus relates to initiating and completing Phases One and Two
as soon as possible.
Our Construction Team has already assisted with the completion of our
wetlands survey, soil borings, perimeter road survey, traffic light installations on Chatham Parkway, architect
selection and approval of schematic drawings for the Athletic/Fine Arts Complex and the Upper School building.
Construction on the new Upper School athletic fields, Garden City sewer and water lines and filling of the pond
in front the Headmaster's home should be complete by the summer of 2005. Construction on the Athletic and Fine Arts
complex should begin in the Spring of 2005. Other projects will commence relative to available
funds and construction schedules.
Current facilities on our 254-acre Chatham Parkway campus include thirteen buildings with classrooms,
computer and science labs, media centers, two gyms, a cafeteria, an outdoor pool, a track, five athletic
fields, three playgrounds and the Ecological Diversity for Educational Networking (E.D.E.N.) outdoor
education center.
Our 14-acre DeRenne campus facilities include five buildings with classrooms, labs, a media center,
cafeteria, two gyms, a softball field and lighted football/soccer field.
Current Upper School facilities will become the Middle School as part of the redevelopment process.
The Middle School will also get new football, soccer and softball fields.
