Recent Annual Funds Purchases

Savannah Christian Preparatory School’s regular operations will require more than
$11 million this school year. Our income is derived from two primary sources - Tuition and Fees,
and Donations and Fundraisers.
Tuition and Fees fund the:
- Payroll and business expenses related to our more than 200 employees.
- Operating expenses of two campuses totaling nearly 270 acres, including nineteen buildings plus roads,
parking lots, fields, playgrounds and more.
- Primary educational expenses of our more than 1,500 PK-12 and nearly 300 Daycare/Preschool students.
Donations and Fundraisers provide additional income that allow us
to greatly enhance our educational environment and experiences. The school sponsors a variety of activities
and events (Annual Funds campaign, Super Saturday, The Gala, Tuition Raffle), various school
classes, clubs, groups and teams engage in a fundraising activities between July 1 and June 30 of each fiscal school year.
Through annual support over and above tuition, we are able to provide our faculty and students with the premier educational
support, tools, and training critical to their success in the 21st century. General donations to our Annual Funds
assist in the purchase of many of our increasing technology and cutting-edge teaching needs, including:
- Computers for all teachers and students
- Software and licenses
- Printers, cables and other hardware supplies and upgrades
- Our entire Intranet and Internet network that allows everyone on campus to connect to each other,
as well as to the Internet
- Video projectors, including projectors for our growing number of SmartBoards
- Interactive SmartBoards
- Continuing Education for teachers, including advanced technology training
- Curriculum materials and resources, including new textbooks series

- Raider Club Donors commit to the basic level of support that our students need annually
from all SCPS families and dedicated alumni.
- Leadership Circle Donors exhibit leadership by giving double the Raider Club level gifts.
- Investment League Donors exemplify the basic principle of compounding interest that money
invested regularly over time yields great returns.
- Akins Foundation Donors honor the annual commitment and sacrifi ce of SCPS founders,
the late Rev. George Akins and Mrs. Harold Dean Akins, who dedicated their lives to the establishment of
a biblically-based, Christ-centered college preparatory school in Savannah.
- Miracle Society Donors honor the visionary investments of the school’s fi rst donors who
participated in the miracle of raising $10,000 to help start SCPS in January 1951
